It's So Long That We Missed Dinner

If you want to take in the entire length of the newly extended path, don't do what we did. Somehow we had the impression that the extension only added a mile or two to the length so, the first time we tried it, we set out at about 5:00pm for a leisurely late afternoon ride, expecting to have dinner in Woods Hole at about 6:30.

We never made it. In fact, fearful of cycling the last few miles in the dark (it’s not well lit and gets REALLY dark after the sun goes down) we turned around long before we got to the end, and had to grab a slice of pizza on the way home instead.

It is a lovely ride, though. You just have to allow yourself enough time to complete it.
